Numerical Quilt

     

God does have a great time keeping system that has been laid down in the Bible.  He has used this system to communicate with the wise to assist in counting the number of the man 666.  Looking closer at very basic mathematical formulas gives important clues about the number 666.

Numbers are like pieces of a quilt.  Some combinations look like triangles, others like wheels, squares, circles, symmetric and asymmetric lines and so on.  Each individual piece of fabric is similar to a number or combination of numbers.  Like the product of numbers, many pieces of  fabric combined represent the finished quilt.  

Too many numbers may seem to be overwhelming or bog down at times.  Concentrating on the completed quilt can lift their weight.  The master artist of the Bible knows how to assemble Biblical numbers into a fine work.

Numerical counting systems are 10 based.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ..........100... onward to infinity. (Infinity is linear-without time)

The time clock system is 60 based.

1 2 3 4 5 6 .............. 60 minutes = 1 hour  x 24 hrs in a day (Time is circular or rotational)

God created numbers. Satan attempts to steal God's numbers and use them to promote himself.  The number 6 could be compared to an Apple.  How?  Well, Satan beguiled Eve with a poison apple (fruit).  Does that mean that we must stop eating apples?  Does Satan's deception make all apples demonic?  Neither does the man 666 make the number 6 damnable.  By careful reading of Revelation Chapter 13 we see that the number 666 is not described as the mark.  God placed the number 600, 60 & 6 on the   2- horned beast or the man who is in charge of the beast and that man enforces the mark. This man has the civil authority to be an enforcer.  

Him that hath wisdom is told to count the number of the beast for it is the number of a man.  In ancient times counting was done with pebbles.  The dark stones condemned the accused and the lighter stones acquitted a defendant in a court of law.  Numbering something can be done by raising up the hand as in counting or as in fishing. (As in , "Oh, I just caught another one.")  

The Bible has plenty of word symbolism.  God's people are represented as lively stones.     1 Peter 2:5.  They are referred to as fish. Matthew 4:19  There is a judgment that takes place in the Heavenly courts and on earth.  Matthew 25:33, Matthew 13

When the hand is lifted up it will draw up fish.  (Christian Converts)  The time comes for the dividing of the pebbles (stones) in the judgment court.  Then the wise with understanding will be able to count the time.  When the 666 appears, God also works to save His people.  While the man 666 is clocking off his prey, God is also counting.  He is dividing up the light pebbles (true saints)  and dark pebbles (liars)  in the judgment courts of Heaven. Do we place our trust in an earthly political system or should we prefer to cast our hope upon the Lord.

Counting can mean numbering days, years, months and seasons.  It can signify accounting for something, counting man, judgment, dividing or separation in time.
