What Does Counting Have to Do with Word Studies?

     In Revelation 13:18   He that hath wisdom is told to count the number of the beast.

Count - Concordance # G5585  To count with pebbles, compute, reckon, to give ones vote by casting a pebble into an urn, to decide by voting, calculate, #G5584 verdict, stone, voice, ticket of admission, handle, feel after, touch, mentally seek after tokens of a person or thing.

To count something can have meanings of  math or mental computing in ones brain.  Calculating can mean figuring something out by mentally feeling, seeking, accounting in ones mind, by feeling the Spirit that gives wisdom.  

1 + 1 = 2  but counting can also mean using the power of the Word of God, to compute by his Word and by His Spirit. The number Six Hundred, Sixty and Six takes on a whole new meaning when viewed in this light.  He that hath wisdom is to be touched by the Hand of God.
